Sergio Volpi charges Samp: “It will be the loose cannon.”
Volpi has clear ideas about the cadet tournament
Sergio Volpi è was an excellent midfielder. During his long career, he played with the shirts of Brescia, Bari, Venezia, Piacenza, Bologna, Reggina, Atalanta and, of course, Sampdoria. With the blucerchiati he played six seasons (from 2002 to 2008). It is normal that he follows his former team with affection. On the sidelines of a promotional event, Sergio Volpi took stock of the cadet tournament.
Volpi, what do you think of the Serie B championship?
"As always, è very exciting and hard-fought. I think by now the first place belongs to Parma, which seems to me to have an edge over all the others. For second place, then to go up immediately to Serie A, I see a three-way fight between Como, Cremonese and Venezia".
There could be some very captivating play-offs…
"They will be a real lottery. A new little league in which, whoever is better, will take home promotion. Anything canò really happen".
What do you think of your former team, Sampdoria?
"Right now they are finding themselves, also becauseè they are recovering important players. I really think that if it gets into the play-offs, it could be the classic loose cannon".
