Champions League: Civitanova wins but Trento goes to the finals
In the semi-final return match of the Champions League, Lube Civitanova beat Itas Trentino on the friendly parquet at the tie-break, which, thanks to the 3-1 success of the’first leg, wins its place in the final, where it will face the Poles of Jastrzebski.
26-24 20-25 22-25 25-18 15-9 were the set partials with Trento, which after going ahead 2-1, a result that already assured it of a pass to the final, clearly loosened its grip.
For the reigning Italian champions it will be the seventh Champions final after the three consecutive won in 2009, 2010 and 2011 and the three lost in 2016, 2021 and 2022.
