Charles Leclerc misses, Max Verstappen on pole
Formula 1, qualifying
Max Verstappen took pole position in the Formula 1 Australian Grand Prix. The Dutch driver ended the qualifying session in 1:15.915, setting a new record and earning the first position on the grid at Melbourne's Albert Park.
Also on the front row is the Ferrari of Carlos Sainz, while the second row will be opened by Sergio Perez's other Red Bull and the McLaren of Lando Norris. Charles Leclerc, despite two excellent sessions in FP2 and FP3, will start fifth due to some inaccuracies in Q3.
