After scoring two third places and a second in the first stages of the Settimana Internazionale Coppi e Bartali, it seemed only a matter of time before Jenno Berckmoes took his first professional victory. On Saturday it was confirmed: the Lotto Dstny rider è transited first under the finish banner in Forl’s Forlì.

"È a moment of great joy for me. Especially becauseé this victory è the result of perfect teamwork throughout the week. All the boys gave their best to achieve this result. We controlled the race flawlessly until the end. È it’s doubly satisfying when, after so much effort, you manage to materialize all that,” Berckmoes said excitedly.

"We started the day paying close attention. Seven riders broke away from the peloton, but none of them were a threat to the overall classification. This allowed us to control the race, along with the Visma team, with Alec Segaert and Milan Donie doing an outstanding job" added the 23-year-old Belgian.
