Dead Fritz Wepper, Harry Klein right-hand man of Inspector Derrick

E’ Fritz Wepper, the’Harry Klein right-hand man of’Inspector Derrick, has died. Long ill, he was 83 years old. A few weeks ago his brother Elmar, also an actor, had passed away.
Best known for his role as an inspector in the TV series "Derrick" which gave him great popularity in Italy as well, he worked in numerous film and TV productions.
Over the course of his long career, Wepper (here in a 2003 image while conversing amiably with Franz Beckenbauer) has proven himself to be a versatile actor, capable of playing a wide range of characters.
His ability to switch between dramatic and lighter roles has solidified his reputation in the German film and television scene.
