Toro hasn't scored with the Albiceleste jersey since September 2022

Finally in goal in the Argentina shirt. Lautaro Martinez has found his way back to the net in the national team. His was the final seal in the friendly played at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum and won by the Albiceleste against Costa Rica with a final score of 3-1. The Inter striker hadn't been on the goalscorer's scoreboard since September 2022 (against Honduras).

A morale-boosting goal. Lautaro Martinez was particularly keen on getting unblocked in the Argentine national team jersey: "I thank my teammates who have always been with me. The goal è a reward for the tranquilityà and the work. There’è a group of boys who work hard and in every training session put the coach in difficulty. We won again. In every single training session you can see the’intensityà and determination. Copa America? We ask the Argentines to support us as always. They, everywhere, make us feel at home", his words to Tyc Sports.

On the field many other Italians. CT Scaloni, in addition to Nico Gonzalez and Paredes, all of whom entered in the running game, allowed Valentin Carboni, a striker owned by Inter but on loan at Monza, to make his absolute debut with the Argentine national team jersey. A few minutes in the final but a huge satisfaction for the young Argentine center forward.
