Pramac, Fonsi Nieto extols Jorge Martin and points the finger at Pecco Bagnaia

During an interview given to the microphones of Spanish newspaper "AS", Prima Pramac Rider Performance Director Fonsi Nieto, among other topics, praised the maturity shown by Jorge Martin in handling the race from start to finish. In addition, the former rider also dwelt on the contact between Marc Marquez and Pecco Bagnaia in the closing stages of the GP.

I think the contact between Bagnaia and Marquez was definitely avoidable. Pecco was a little off the line and that is why he è touched with Marc, they are races and è very difficult to say, forò he could have avoided the fall" began the engineer of the Pramac team.

"It è not necessary to get to four seconds. One is fine. If they got closer, Jorge would have pushed a little bit more. He kept the distance without making a single mistake the whole race. I see him super mature, with a clear goal in mind, which è to get to the end of the year as high as possible and without taking unnecessary risks for a few more points in a Sprint. In Portimao I saw the best Martin ever" added the former Spanish driver.

"During the Sprint I was afraid that they might fall, because it was in that very corner that Bastianini, last year, è went off the track getting a serious injury that compromised his season. We knew that with the medium on the rear we had something moreù than the others, becauseé Martin with the soft never è never felt completely comfortable" concluded Fonsi Nieto.
