The Russian eliminated, in the quarterfinals, Jarry in two sets

Once again, Sinner versus Medvedev. On Friday, the two will compete for a place in the final of the Miami Masters 1000. Yet another confrontation between two tennis players who, lately, have found themselves facing each other on more than one occasion. Clearly, the thought immediately goes to the Australian Open final, won by the Italian in five sets precisely against the Russian.

An 11th match between the two, Sinner has won the last four

It will be the'eleventh showdown between Sinner and Medveded. After having been a real tabù for quite some time (first six matches always won by the Russian), Sinner è managed to "turn". so much so that the last four matches have always seen the success of the South Tyrolean. However, the Medvedev seen in Miami this week è appeared decidedly fit and confident in his tennis.

Medvedev: "Jannik is playing better and better"

Confirmation of Medvedev’s great form è also came in the challenge, valid for the quarterfinals of the tournament, against Jarry, won by the Russian in two sets (6-2, 7-6). So much desire on Medvedev’s part to return to winning ways against Sinner, whom he hasn’t beaten just since last year in Miami: "Jannik plays better every time. È in a very good moment, è in confidence we faced each other in great battles. His level has è risen and he won complicated matches always finding solutions. Sinner, for his part, è ready for the new challenge: "This will be a technical match and I will have to be ready for any novelties, I am sure that after the final at the Australian Open something will change".
