In case of winning the tournament, the Blue would be No. 2 in the world

Unbelievable at the Miami Masters 1000. Carlos Alcaraz, one of the favorites to win the tournament, è was eliminated in the quarterfinals by an amazing Grigor Dimitrov. The Bulgarian played an almost perfect match, thus sending the Spaniard to the mat: 6-2, 6-4 the match’s partials (in front of Mike Tyson’s curious eyes). The Spaniard paid, above all, for a first set played not at his level. In the second partial, the wake-up è came too late.

In the post match, Carlos Alcaraz è appeared definitely frustrated but still acknowledged the merits of the Bulgarian: "I think he played incredible tennis, almost perfect, or maybe just perfect. I couldn’t find good solutions. He made me feel like I was 13 years old. I would say that è it was really crazy. When he plays at this level, è very difficult to face him", the Spaniard’s words reported by AS.

A success that, in fact, è a double assist in favor of Jannik Sinner. The South Tyrolean, who is expected to play in the semifinals with Daniil Medvedev, no longer has Carlos Alcaraz as a possible opponent in the tournament but, more importantly, he can become No. 2 in the world if he manages to win the title in Miami. A truly golden opportunity for the South Tyrolean, to be taken advantage of at all costs.
