Women’s A1 Series Playoffs: Scandicci flies to semifinals, Vallefoglia knockout
Scandicci è the first qualifier to the semifinals of the women’s volleyball playoffs. The Tuscans defeated Vallefoglia 3-0 (25-18; 26-24; 25-17), also winning game 2 and detaching the pass for the next round.
Leading the way for coach Massimo Barbolini's girls was the ooposto Ekaterina Antropova, who put up an impressive 21 points and 3 walls. Good performances also for her teammates Zhu Ting ( 14 points and 4 walls) and Britt Herbots (7 points). In the ranks of the Marche women, the 17 points scored by Alice Degradi were not enough.
In the semifinals, Scandicci awaits the winner of the series between Vero Volley Milano and Pinerolo, with the meneghine who won game 1 and will try to close the score already in the second match.
