Naples, competition grows for Sudakov
Naples on Sudakov, but competition grows
In search of new elements to enrich its roster ahead of the 2024/25 season, Napoli is concentrating its energies on getting to Heorhiy Sudakov, a 2002-born midfielder with Shakhtar and permanently on the Ukrainian national team’s roster. The Azzurri management must, however, deal with growing competition, which could complicate the negotiations.
Napoli had already expressed interest in Sudakov during the January market, bringing itself into pole position for the 21-year-old’s signing, but it è then chose to proceed more calmly, waiting for the opening of the summer soccer market. Other major companies in Italy and Europe have, however, entered the race to secure his services, hinting at the possibility of an upward auction, advantageous for Shakhtar Donetsk.
Within the borders of the Bel Paese, there's Juventus monitoring the situation, while in the rest of Europe, the Ukrainian talent is interested by the likes of Manchester City, Liverpool, Barcelona and Bayern. Despite growing competition, Napoli is nevertheless studying its next move to try to secure what insiders è consider, in terms of role and ability, the heir to Piotr Zielinski.
