Lorenzo Sonego has è qualified for the quarterfinals at the "Grand Prix Hassan II" (ATP 250 – prize money 579,320 euros) in Marrakech, Morocco. The number 61 ranking, fourth favorite in the seeding, in fact made it through the second round after a battle with India's Sumit Nagal, number 95 ATP, defeated with the score of 1-6, 6-3, 6-4 in two hours and 19 minutes.

Now Sonego awaits the winner of the match between Matteo Berrettini, number 135 ATP, and Spaniard Jaume Munar, number 73 ATP, whom he has not faced before. Berrettini, 27, made his debut in Marrakech by eliminating in two sets Kazakhstan’s Shevchenko, number 56 in the rankings and sixth seeded favorite.

Flavio Cobolli, 21 and number 63 ATP, the eighth seed, won quickly against Jordan’s Shelbayh, number 230 in the rankings, and now prepares to take on Russia’s Pavel Kotov, number 68 in the rankings, against whom he has won all three previous matches.

Fabio Fognini, 36 and ATP number 100, also made it through qualifying and after defeating France’s Gaston, number 89 in the rankings, is now facing Serbia’s Laslo Djere, number 34 in the rankings and the tournament’s top favorite, with whom he has a 2-1 favorable direct confrontation record.
