Roma, Romelu Lukaku’s future depends on Chelsea
Big Rom has a contract with the Blues until June 2026
Roma soccer market: there is more and more talk about Lukaku’s future. His first season in the Giallorossi è so far, bittersweet. He has scored 18 goals (10 in the league) but, probably, he could have done even better if his physical condition was always at the top. Coach De Rossi considers him a pillar of the team. Should he remain on the Roma bench, he could use to count on the Belgian striker again.
Big Rom himself seems determined to continue his adventure in the capital, Giallorossi side. He feels comfortable in Rome. The problem è Chelsea, owner of his card. The Belgian, in fact, has an existing contract with the Blues until June 2026. Roma is pushing for a new loan deal, a solution that Chelsea may not even like.
Faced with the possibility of buying Big Rom’s tag permanently, problems could arise. There is talk of 43 million euros, a figure considered too high by the Giallorossi club, also in relation to the no-longer-green age of the Belgian national (born in 1993). Updates are expected in the coming weeks. Meanwhile, Roma hopes that Lukaku will finish the current season with many high points and few bad moments.
