Obereggen opens up to golf

Saturday, April 6, is the last event of the winter season in Obereggen in the heart of the Dolomites, 20 minutes from Bolzano. It will be a “Beach Party at 2,000 meters above sea level” which will propel the South Tyrolean resort into the summer, which opens its doors on June 8: the imposing Latemar rock face, the jewel of the Dolomites-Unesco World Heritage Site, will be transformed into the Latemar.ium, a magical network of thematic trails that will allow visitors to expand their knowledge of mountain fauna, flora, geology and agriculture in an unspoiled environment.

Latemar and Misano Adriatico, Dolomites and Adriatic Sea enclosed, Saturday, in Obereggen’s snowpark: it will be transformed into a “white beach” for an unprecedented Beach Party. The individual snow structures within the Obereggen Snowpark will be treated like holes on a golf course. In order to complete the “hole”, the rider will have to complete a specific trick on the structure and will be assigned a score depending on how many attempts he/she needs to make.

In the end, as in golf, whoever hasà scored the fewest points (thus the fewest attempts used) will win the “SHGROLL” and two tickets to the San Marino and Rimini Riviera MotoGP. "We are satisfied and pleased with this initiative with our friends in Misano Adriatico" explains Thomas Ondertoller, marketing and communications director of the companyà facilities Obereggen Latemar SpA.
