F1 Ferrari, Charles Leclerc still beaten by Sainz: "I found no answers"
Ferrari driver Charles Leclerc commented a bit disappointed with the free practice day in Japan. At Suzuka, the Monegasque driver found only the sixth fastest time, again behind teammate Carlos Sainz, and also the two Mercedes: "È it was such a day. After the first session we had identified some aspects to work on to optimize the set-up".
"But in the afternoon we practically didn’t turn and soì we couldn’t find the answers we were looking for, particularly on the dry lap, also becauseé the track in FP1 è always green and leaves some questions unanswered".
"Hopefully it will not rain in FP3, we will work tomorrow to get ready for qualifying. Right now I feel like we lack a little bit’ of pace for pole position, because’ Red Bull looks strong especially with Max. There’è still some’ work to be done, but I hope to be the one who will getà a special lap tomorrow".
Leclerc wore a special helmet for Jules Bianchi: "Mine and his family form a whole, we are always in touch and close. They were very happy that I used this helmet, and I am also very happy about it: Jules è always here and must be remembered, if I am in F1 è thanks to him".
