The Piedmontese tennis player è was folded in three sets with the partials of 1-6, 6-2, 2-6 by the world number 93, confirming the difficult moment he has been going through for several months now, with more defeats than victories.
That leaves five Italians in the Monte Carlo main draw: Jannik Sinner, Lorenzo Musetti, Matteo Arnaldi, Luca Nardi and Matteo Berrettini, who will be present thanks to a wild card.
