Milan, Mike Maignan’s future increasingly mysterious

The French goalkeeper has a contract with the Rossoneri until June 2026

Calciomercato Milan: even this season, injuries aside, Maignan has confirmed that he is one of the best goalkeepers in the world. His interventions between the posts of the Diavolo’s goal have been spectacular and, of course, have brought valuable points. For this reason, the Rossoneri club has no intention of letting him get away but, at the moment, the renewal still seems far away.

Maignan has a guaranteed contract with AC Milan until June 2026 but, for months, there has been talk of extending the deal at a much higher figure. The French goalkeeper’s entourage is asking for a substantial salary increase, at least to Leao’s levels, so around seven million euros. A figure that the Diavolo considers a bit excessive. Unfortunately, Maignan has many admirers.

In fact, several clubs would be ready to come forward to snatch the goalkeeper from Milan. Faced with an "out-of-market" proposal, the Rossoneri might even think of accepting even if giving up a starter like Maignan could be a big mistake. The feeling è that the French goalkeeper’s future is still to be written but it would be better for Milan to make a decision within a short time.
