Saudi Arabia Supercup: Cristiano Ronaldo eliminated and even ejected
The very final of the tournament will be played by the'Al Hilal and the'Al Ittihad
After saying goodbye to the possibility of winning the Saudi Pro League (firmly in the hands of Al Hilal) and also to the Arab Champions League (Al Nassr eliminated in the quarterfinals), Cristiano Ronaldo was banking heavily on the Saudi Arabian Super Cup to end his season at least with a trophy (only the possibility of the King Cup now remains). Unfortunately, again, the result was not what he had hoped for.
Cristiano Ronaldo, definitely nervous about the course of the match, lost his head at the 87th minute of the game, when his team was down to Al Hilal 2-0. First he kicked an opponent, forcing the match director to draw a red card. Not content, the Portuguese threatened the same referee, leaving the field ironically applauding his decision to eject him.
A deplorable conduct that of Cristiano Ronaldo that certifies, however, a certain dissatisfaction with a season that is seeing him starring only as a goleador (now certain the title of top scorer of the Saudi Pro League). For the record, the Saudi Arabia Super Cup final will be played by Al Hilal and Al Ittihad. Cristiano Ronaldo will be a mere spectator.
