According to A Bola, Mourinho could become the next coach of Benfica. A sensational market rumour. After ending, with bitterness in his mouth, his adventure on the Roma bench, the Special One could return to coach in the Portuguese league, that is, where he kicked off his brilliant career. His last season in Portugal, at the helm of Porto, arch-rival of the Encarnados, dates back to the 2003/04 season.

A’s eventual elimination from Europe could cost Benfica's coach dearly and convince Mourinho to return to his homeland at the helm of Benfica (after coaching Porto).
After being exonerated by Roma in mid-January, the Portuguese coach has made it known on several occasions that he wants to return to coaching. He has also spoken well of Saudi Arabia but, probably, the idea of returning to the top job in his own country could tickle him a lot. It should be remembered that, at the helm of Porto, he won the 2003/04 edition of the Champions League.
