Lazio, Ciro Immobile wants to relaunch himself and stay biancoceleste
The blue striker has a contract with the biancocelesti until June 2026
Numbers in hand, this è, by far, Immobile’s worst season since wearing the Lazio jersey (2016/17 season). In total, he scored 10 goals. Not many for someone who has won the Serie A top scorer’s list four times and scored 200 goals in the Italian top league. In short, at 34 years old, Immobile no longer looks like the sniper he once was.
In fact, there has long been talk of his possible farewell at the end of the current season, his eighth at Roma, the biancoceleste side. There would be generous offers from clubs in the Saudi Pro League (they even tried during the winter market) but Immobile does not seem at all interested in putting himself on the line in wealthy Saudi Arabia. He would have other plans, namely to remain biancoceleste.
Tudor's arrival, in fact, could be a great opportunity to relaunch himself in this final season and try to prove to everyone that he can still be Lazio's star striker. There is also talk of him moving to Napoli (in exchange for Simeone). Another option that he does not seem to particularly like, also on the strength of a guaranteed contract with the biancoceleste club until June 2026. In short, Immobile still sees himself at Lazio.
