Fabio Capello makes a prediction on Milan-Roma

During an intervention at the microphones of the "Gazzetta dello Sport", former Real Madrid coach Fabio Capello wanted to give his opinion on the Euroderby that will be staged between AC Milan and Roma valid for a place in the Europa League semifinals. In addition, the former England coach also indulged in a prediction regarding the continuation of the competition.

"The ingredients for a great European night are all there: headline champions, two good coaches who will play each other for the first time and a cup that weighs heavily, very heavily, for both Milan and Roma. The Rossoneri are a European team, history says so. The’goal è to get to Dublin and try to win the’only trophy ever won in Europe. For Roma, the challenge to the Rossoneri has a double value: getting to lift it in the final on May 22 would mean not only hitting a major international milestone, but also detaching a pass for the next Champions" began the former Real Madrid coach.

"Tonight I will be at the stadium and I expect a great show. Milan and Roma have all the makings of an evening like the one at the Bernabeu between Real Madrid and Manchester City in the Champions League. I am convinced that a finalist that we will see in Dublin will come out of the challenge between the Rossoneri and Giallorossi" added the former Juventus coach.

"Pioli often relies on aggressiveness, his man-to-man on many occasions è has been the key to closing the game taps to the opposing dribblers and exploiting the quality of his sprinters on the restart, from Theo to Leao on the left flank to Pulisic himself on the right. De Rossi, for his part, seems to me to be very attentive in transmitting his principles of play to the group, which has absorbed them quickly and knows how to apply them in the right way. Roma bites and è is able to go vertical immediately. Against Milan’s speedsters, great defensive solidity and polish will be needed to hit the Rossoneri the moment they get off balance. Also watch out for set pieces, becauseé both can do a lot of harm" concluded Fabio Capello.
