Jannik Sinner insatiable: “I will have to raise the bar.”
Jannik Sinner’s words after his victory over Jan-Lennard Struff
Jannik Sinner reached his third quarterfinal match in a Masters 1000 this season, overcoming German Jan-Lennard Struff in two sets (6-4, 6-2) in the round of 16 of the Rolex Monte-Carlo Masters. "È definitely a dangerous player. I had to be very, very careful" admitted the South Tyrolean to ATP Tour microphones.
"I broke him quite early and then he broke me again. I knew it was going to be very tough, but I think I responded very well, especially on my second serve. I can be very happy" added the world number two and second seed.
In the quarters the Azure will face the winner of the match between Grigor Dimitrov of Bulgaria and Holger Rune of Denmark:" It will be really tough. Against both players I always had very tough battles, tough matches. I can't wait and as always I will have to raise the level if I want to win. We will see".
