The words of Andres Blazquez

Genoa CEO Andres Blazquez, speaking at the microphones of 'CaughtOffside', spoke at length about the future of Albert Gudmundsson, the 26-year-old Icelandic fantasist courted by several clubs, both in Serie A, with Inter in the forefront, and in the best European leagues.

"We have already had several interests in Albert in recent weeks – admitted the ad of the Rossoblù -. We have a very close relationship, for us è like a family. We know what his priorities are and we will find an agreement to give him up or to let him stay that can satisfy both parties".

"We have significantly increased his salary to make us consider him an’option,& added Blazquez – We know he is doing well. In the end a lot depends on his personal goals. He is very well at Genoa, in the city and is one of the team’s most beloved players. It will beà a personal decision, we will see what happensà".

"Whether the price will go upà compared to 30 million? We will have to find the right balance between what Albert wants è what we want. As in the case of Radu, not the situation with the highest price but the one that guarantees the best conditions for all parties. We do not want to impose anything on anybody. We certainly talked about a price. We have had the interest of at least three in the best leagues who have expressed interest in Albert, but not only Albert but other players in the group" concluded Blazquez on the price of Gudmundsson.
