The words of Jasmine Paolini

On the eve of her debut in the WTA 1000 in Madrid, Jasmine Paolini gave a long interview to the 'Quotidiano Sportivo' in which she confessed that she is inspired by Jannik Sinner: "I grew up watching Federer matches, è always been my idol. But I have to confess that nowadays, for the last 3 or 4 years, with my coach, we look a lot at how Sinner" plays and how he hits the ball.

"We said goodbye a little while ago (at the Madrid tournament, ed.) – added the number one Italian tennis player about the South Tyrolean -. But I don’t need to tell you what an intelligent, polite and charismatic guy he is. He’ as he seems".

On the clay season: "Before this year it’s always been ‘my’ surface, the ground I was born on. This season I started on the indoor and very particular one in Stuttgart, now it s moving on to the fast high altitude one in Madrid. Then there will be; Rome, in some ways very close as conditions to Roland Garros. I hope to adapt very quickly: I will tryò to work more on topspin and strengthening the legs".

"C’è great anticipation: it will be nice, exciting, different, becauseé I will be the top seed for the first time because of my ranking. I am curious how it will go, also becauseé the stands of the Foro italico are always full of people" added the Tuscan on the Internazionali d'Italia.

Finally, Paolini commented on her relationship in doubles with Sara Errani: "I get along well and I learn a lot, 5 slams and number 1 in the world you do not become by chance (laughs, ed.). She has a lot of advice for me and I try to absorb it. Then we also get along well as people" and on the Olympics: "I expect crazy excitement: already watching the ceremony on TV I was almost moved. For me è the’sporting event par excellence".
