Milan, double shingle Maignan – Loftus-Cheek
Milan: conditions of Mike Maignan and Ruben Loftus-Cheek
Bad news in the Milan household. The Rossoneri club, in fact, is losing Mike Maignan and Ruben Loftus-Cheek, both of whom were injured in the last match against Juventus, to injury: the French goalkeeper, in fact, was knocked out in the warm-up due to an adductor strain, making way for Marco Sportiello, while the English midfielder è was forced to leave the field of play ten minutes from the end due to a muscle discomfort.
"Earlier today Mike Maignan and Ruben Loftus-Cheek underwent magnetic resonance imaging. The instrumental examinations revealed the following: Maignan low-grade injury of the right long adductor, Loftus-Cheek low-grade injury to the right hamstring muscle. Both players will be re-evaluated next week according to clinical evolution" reads the note issued by the meneghina company.
Recovery times have not been defined but a stop of at least two weeks is expected for both players. Mister Pioli, therefore, will have to do without Maignan and Loftus-Cheek both in the next match, at home against Genoa, and in the next one, also at San Siro, against Cagliari. The hope è to recover them for the away match in Turin, the penultimate day of the championship.
Replacing Maignan in goal will be Marco Sportiello, a great protagonist in the Turin draw against Juventus, while the absence of Loftus-Cheek in midfield leaves open two possible solutions: moving Pulisic to the three-quarter, with Chukwueze on the right and Leao on the left or Bennacer more advanced and the Reijnders-Adli dyke in the middle of the field.
