Marcell Jacobs: "We have demonstrated our strength"

Here are the words reported by the’Ansa of Marcell Jacobs, who commented on the result of the Italian 4×100 relay team, which on the night in Nassau won access to the Paris Olympics.

"We wanted to finish in the top two without too much drama and we did it, we confirmed the strength of our team”, said the Olympic 100 meters and relay champion.

Roberto Rigali, Lorenzo Patta, Filippo Tortu and Jacobs finished behind only the United States in the relay world championship batteries, a result good enough to get the pass.

"This test also gives us a lot of confidence for tomorrow – Jacobs said again – we know that the changes were made very safely to qualify”.

“Tomorrow we can try to risk a little bit more, push a little bit more. Our strength è being such a united group that allows us to run more fort and I am really happy for this qualification”, concluded Marcell.
