Pioli bye-bye, club wants to announce new coach soon

Milan soccer market: after the umpteenth bitterness in this delicate end of the season (home draw with Genoa), the Rossoneri club, prodded also by the Curva Sud, is speeding up the pace to find the new coach to whom to entrust the team next season. Many names are in play but, at the moment, there would be a favorite.

After having given up on Lopetegui (not liked by most Rossoneri fans) and not having found a great enthusiasm around the name of Fonseca, here is that the Diavolo seems to have decided to bet big on Sergio Conceiçao, Porto coach with a past, as a footballer, in Italy where he wore the shirts of Lazio, Parma and Inter.

There'è however, one problem. Sergio Conceiçao recently signed a contract renewal with Porto until June 2028. Now he will have to, according to Gazzetta dello Sport, try to convince newly appointed president Villas Boas to let him go. A task that is far from simple, considering when the coach è appreciated by the Porto management.

Milan would be waiting for news. If, indeed, Sergio Conceiçao were to find a way to make himself available, here is where the Diavolo could really step up and put the project of relaunching Milan into the hands of the 49-year-old Portuguese coach. Should he not free himself, the Rossoneri would continue their own casting. Sarri’s name is also circulating.
