Juve-Inter sparks, Massimo Moratti retorts to Cristiano Giuntoli
Moratti responds to Giuntoli’s joke
The joke released by Cristiano Giuntoli, on the sidelines of Roma-Juventus on Sunday night, continues to spark discussion among fans and insiders: "It's always a pleasure to remember May 5 here in Rome, for us Juventus fans" his words referring to what happened in 2002 and fit into the groove of an ever-burning rivalry between the Bianconeri and Nerazzurri.
Answering him, from a distance, è whoever of that Inter team was president at the time, Massimo Moratti. At the microphones of 'Kiss Kiss Napoli', the former Nerazzurri patron, who on that occasion saw a Scudetto fade in front of him on the last day, commented, smiling: "What a bad Giuntoli! I remember it as a very bad day, so I pretend nothing".
Born in 1945 and son of Angelo, president of Inter in the successful days of the 1960s, Massimo Moratti led the Nerazzurri leadership from 1995 to 2004 and from 2006 to 2013. From 2013 to 2014 è he then served as honorary president, during the Thohir era. On Oct. 6, 2016, he also left his last shares.
In 19 years as president, Massimo Moratti won 16 trophies, including those from the Triplete season (2009/10). For his activities in the sports field è he was awarded, among other honors, the Collare d'Oro conferred by Coni, on December 15, 2015.
