Rome qualifiers: Passaro and Stefanini to main draw, Paganetti and Trevisan out
Francesco Passaro and Lucrezia Stefanini qualify for the main draw of the Internazionali d'Italia. The Italian, in the decisive qualifying round, è won over Croatian player Duje Ajdukovic with a score of 7-6 6-7 7-6. In the women’s, however, the Tuscan player è won the Italian derby with young Vittoria Paganetti with a score of 7-6 6-3.
Also remaining out of the main draw is Martina Trevisan, who è had to surrender in two sets to Kazakhstan’s Yulia Putintseva. 6-3 6-4 è was the final score. After a very balanced start, the Italian tennis player failed to materialize her chances and her opponent took advantage of it to break serve in the fifth game and manage the lead until the end of the set.
The second partial developed along the same lines as the first, with the Kazakh player coming out at a distance and managing to close the score.
