The appointment with Sky Inclusion Days is back

.

After the success of the first edition, the appointment with SKY INCLUSION DAYS returns again this year, the great event dedicated to the themes of inclusion and diversity, values that Sky has always been committed to promote and spread, because diversity makes us unique.
A day of meetings, testimonies and performances that will be held on Monday, May 20 in Milan, at the Leonardo da Vinci National Museum of Science and Technology, and that will also be live on Sky’s TV and digital channels.

This year, our journey will take us to discover inclusion as a force that generates a sense of belonging, appreciation of every diversity and creates in people the prerequisites to seek their own happiness.
Many guests from the world of culture, institutions, art, science, entertainment and sports. Among the most awaited are writer Chiara Gamberale; great women of entertainment such as writer, actress and host Chiara Francini, stand-up comedian Yoko Yamada and actress Vittoria Schisano; Paralympic athlete Alessandro Ossola; author, journalist and podcaster Pablo Trincia; former magistrate and jurist Gherardo Colombo; Opera Prison Administration Director Silvio Di Gregorio; tennis champion and 2015 U.S. Open winner Flavia Pennetta; Minister for Sports and Youth Andrea Abodi; and writer and screenwriter Barbara Alberti.

It will be a way to tell the story of the challenges and the journey of people, communities, organizations and institutions, who struggle every day to find the delicate balance between diversity and acceptance in all its declinations: from gender equality to LGBTQ+ rights, from prisoner conditions to disability, from ethnic background to digital and language inclusion.

These issues have always been identifiable for Sky, which over the years has been distinguished by its commitment to raising awareness of the importance of inclusion and diversity, believing that creating an environment where every individual can be themselves has a positive and profound impact on everyone’s life.

Sarah Varetto, Executive Vice President Communications, Inclusion and Bigger Picture at Sky Italia, says: “Social inclusion is not only a matter of justice, it also means celebrating the uniqueness of people and giving voice to diversity to ensure everyone’s right to be happy. Those who feel that they are an active part of the community in which they live more easily develop self-confidence, a sense of purpose in life and a strong and constructive social support network. And it is precisely to stimulate diversity of thought and break down prejudices that Sky Inclusion Days was born, which we are happy to repeat this year in its second edition. Indeed, we are convinced that an inclusive society is built through dialogue and knowledge, and with our event we want to make a small but concrete contribution in this direction”.

The Sky Inclusion Days event has the patronage of: City of Milan, American Consulate General, American Chamber of Commerce, British Chamber of Commerce.
