Jannik Sinner’s Past

On the sidelines of the presentation at the Tennis Club Milano Alberto Bonacossa of the 64° Bonfiglio Trophy, namely the Internazionali d'Italia Juniores, the president of the club Elena Buffa di Perrero spoke exclusively to Sporta.it about the time when a certain Jannik Sinner, then a very young man, participated in the tournament.

"Sinner played the Bonfiglio twice, with as many wild cards and the second time losing a thrilling match in the quarters. He è proved himself to be the incredible guy he è whyé thanked for the wild cards ten times, which he also did at the Next Gen which he later won".

"The success he is having excites us all but è extraordinary as a person, an example to everyone with small gestures like holding the umbrella to the ball boy. As happened with Tomba in skiing, it can only fuel the desire to enroll children in a tennis class. We wish him all the best as he goes on and reaches world number one".

"When we saw him as a child, we hoped he could make it to this level. He already had the mindset of a champion, which is fundamental in today’s tennis beyond the big shots", he concluded.
