MotoGP, Le Mans: Jorge Martin record-breaking in second free practice
After commanding the first free practice, Jorge Martin confirmed himself as the fastest also in the second free practice session of the French Grand Prix. The MotoGP leader even signs the new record of the Le Mans track, stopping the clock on'1'30"388, ahead of world champion Pecco Bagnaia, delayed by 145 thousandths, and the GasGas team KTM of rookie Pedro Acosta.
In fourth place is the Aprilia of Maverick Viñales, while in fifth place is Fabio Di Giannantonio, riding the Ducati of the Pertamina Enduro VR46 Racing Team. Seventh place for the other Aprilia of Aleix Espargaró, preceded by the KTM of Jack Miller. Finally, complete the top 10 Franco Morbidelli (Pramac Racing), Marco Bezzecchi (Pertamina Enduro VR46 Racing Team) and Fabio Quartararo (Yamaha).
Remain out of Q2 both Marc Marquez (Gresini Racing) and Enea Bastianini (Ducati), both victims of a fall: at the beginning of the session for the Spanish champion, in the final for the Rimini rider. Will have toà pass from Q1 also Brad Binder (KTM), who also fell twice during the session.
