Reggio Emilia goes to Venice, Dimitris Priftis: “We will have to overcome our limitations.”

The words of Dimitris Priftis on the eve of Reyer Venezia-Pallacanestro Reggiana

Pallacanestro Reggiana is getting ready to start its adventure in the quarterfinals of the LBA playoffs scudetto: on Saturday night at Taliercio in Venice, the biancorossi will take the court at 8:00 p.m. for the first episode of the series (which will be played at the best of five games) against Reyer.

Coach Dimitris Priftis presented Race 1: "We are ready to dive into these Playoffs, knowing that in front of us we will find a solid and deep team like Venice, which has two players of the same level for each role. To compete at their level we will necessarily have to overcome our limitations and all do something more, especially in the first two games that will be away games".

"Reyer è more athletic than us and we have to be aware of that – added the coach of the biancorossi -, we will need careful defense both in one-on-one and in transition and post-bass situations. They play a simple but very effective basketball, the key for us will beà not to lose concentration for too many consecutive possessions, becauseè taking a break canò prove fatal".

"I conclude by saying that we have played an excellent season so far, I think I can say that we have gone beyond anyone’s expectations and therefore we have a chance to "enjoy" these Playoffs playing with that lightness of those who do not have the favor of the odds, but with the desire, motivation and determination of those who want to do everything to win what would be a very big victory" commented Priftis.
