Denver Nuggets resurrect in Minnesota, Indiana surprises New York
NBA, results
Denver Nuggets trying to reopen the series against the Minnesota Timberwolves, Indiana Pacers doing the same against the New York Knicks. These are the big themes after the NBA’s Saturday night, in which the two games played saw both the West and East teams prevail at 2-0 in their series before the challenge. Both have now managed to take a 2-1 lead instead, reopening the talks for passage to the round and consequently clinching the conference semifinals.
In Denver è particularly important was Nikola Jokic’s performance, allowing the reigning NBA champions to raise their heads again and instead go on to dominate in Minneapolis after two surprising defeats in the first outings of the series. For the Serbian outfielder, the points totaled 24, rebounds 14 and assists 9 with a sumptuous triple-double just missed. Murray also did well, in turn 24 times on the scoreboard, while in the Wolves’ house star Edwards stopped at 19.
Even spectacular was the win by Indiana, which with less than 10 minutes to go before the buzzer found itself within -9 of the Knicks and seemed one step away from ending its season. New York did not, però reckon with the leadership of Haliburton, crucial with his 35 points, nor with Nembhard’s winning three-pointer with just 16 seconds left in the game. A sumptuous effort by DiVincenzo, who finished with 35 with an excellent 7/11 from the'arc.
