Flavio Cobolli doesn’t stop: he’s in the semifinals in Geneva

Flavio Cobolli never stops again at the Geneva ATP 250 where he reached his first ATP semifinal. After the feat in the round of 16 with Ben Shelton, the Roman tennis player repeated himself in the challenge valid for the quarterfinals against Alexander Shevchenko of Kazakhstan, number 61 in the ATP ranking. 6-4 6-4 was the final score in favor of the Italian, which matured after an hour and twenty-two minutes of play.

Cobolli struggled in the first round of serve in which he è already forced to cancel a break ball to his opponent. Having escaped danger, the azure in the seventh game places the break that proves decisive for the purposes of the set, closed 6-4 with the first ace of the match.

However, on the second attempt, Cobolli made no mistake and filed the case on the 6-4 final.

Cobolli thus flies to the semifinals of the Gonet Geneva Open where he will face the winner of the challenge between Norwegian Casper Ruud, number 7 in the world and second seed in the seeding, and Argentine Sebastian Baez, number 20 in the ATP ranking and number 5 seed in the draw.
