NBA Play-offs: Dallas immediately expels Minnesota and takes the home court factor
Doncic closes with 33, Irving puts up 30
Entertainment and a lot of balance in the first act of the Western Conference finals between Minnesota and Dallas. At the end of a point-to-point contest, it was the Mavs who gave the decisive acceleration with two minutes to go and won Game 1 108-105, taking the court factor right away.
Protagonists in the Texans’ ranks were the two All Stars Luka Doncic and Kyrie Irving, who finished with 33 and 30 points, respectively. The former Celtics è was decisive especially in the first half, where he put up 24 of the total 59 points scored as a team. In the last quarter, however, it was up to the Slovenian to finally bite the bullet in the game, leading his team first from -5 to +8 and then posting in the last minutes the 8-0 partial that gave the Texans the win.
In Minnesota’s ranks, the best è Jaden McDaniels with 24 points. Complicated night, however, for Anthony Edwards and Karl-Anthony Towns, who finished with 19 and 16 points, respectively. Good showings also for Naz Reid (15), Rudy Gobert (12) and Kyle Anderson (11), but, in the end, to smile è Dallas.
The two franchises will return to the court on Friday night, May 24 and Saturday, May 25, for Game 2, also at the Target Center in Minneapolis.
