Carlos Alcaraz è ready for Roland Garros and sends message to Jannik Sinner

Carlos Alcaraz è ready to make his debut at Roland Garros after the injury that caused him to miss the Internazionali d’Italia at the Foro Italico in Rome. Here are the words of the 21-year-old Murcian reported by Tuttosport’s website on the immediate eve of the start of the tournament, in which he will make his debut against American J.J. Wolf.

“I feel better. All the training sessions I have had at home and here have gone pretty well, I feel better and better. At least I can practice and hit the ball without feeling pain, and that è definitely positive for me”.

“Honestly I am coming to this tournament without having played many matches, certainly not as many as I would have liked, but I am focusing on training. I don’t need many matches to get back to 100 percent, so I think this week spent here is allowing me to put myself in the condition to be ready to play”.

"I’m also recovering from an injury so I don’t know, every player I face will represent a major obstacle for me. Jannik Sinner is having a phenomenal season this year: for me it doesn’t matter so much if he’s recovering from an injury, I think he’s got the ability to be already at a high level here, like Rafa and like Djokovic”.

“Jannik è a great person off the court, we have shared many good moments and we always talk a little bit’ when we meet. When I heard about his injury I immediately sent him a message and wished him a speedy recovery. I am glad he is here, è better for everyone that all the strongest in the world are here. I wish him the best for the present and the future”.
