No two without three for Arthur Szwarc
The sporting marriage between Arthur Szwarc and MINT Vero Volleyball Monza
continues.
MINT Vero Volley Monza continues in the work of building the roster for the 2024/2025 season and also does so through an important confirmation: on Tuesday, in fact, the Lombard club announced that it had reached an agreement for the continuation of Arthur Szwarc's experience with the club that in the year just ended came close to winning the Scudetto and the Coppa Italia, losing in the final always to Perugia, in addition to the Challenge Cup lost to Projekt Warsaw. It will be Szwarc's third season with Consorzio Vero Volley.
The Canadian opposite player, class of 1995, è been one of the great protagonists of the 2022/2023 season, earning man-of-the-match honors three times between the league (Modena vs Monza, day 3 first leg, Taranto vs Monza, day 4 return) and Coppa Italia (Monza vs Civitanova). Szwarc collected 22 appearances and 296 points (11 aces and 34 walls) overall.
Szwarc è currently engaged in Volleyball Nations League with the national team of Canada. He è grew up at York University, with which he played for three seasons before moving to FTC Team Canada in 2016/2017 and Arago Sete, France, the following season. Since 2019 è in Italy: until 2022 he played at Cisterna, then the move to Consorzio Vero Volley.
Since 2017 he has been playing with the Canadian selection (with which he won bronze in the 2017 World League and at the North American Championships in 2019. His Polish origins also allow him to hold a dual passport. As for on-court characteristics, he started as a center, moving only in 2021, on a permanent basis, to the role he still plays today, that of opposite.
