It's already ended Lorenzo Sonego's adventure at Roland Garros in the second round. The Italian tennis player, in fact, è was defeated in four sets by China's Zhizhen Zhang with the score of 7-5 3-6 6-1 6-4, after three hours and twenty-five minutes, not counting the numerous rain interruptions that greatly affected the match.
The first set è featured as many as three suspensions. The first to break the balance è Zhang who managed to break serve in the seventh game. Sonego, però managed first to bring himself back to even and then to a 5-4 lead. From that moment, however; the Chinese raises the level and places three consecutive games winning the set 7-5.
In the second partial è the Italian to place the decisive acceleration by snatching the serve in the sixth game. The Piedmontese did not allow chances to come back to his opponent and closed the accounts on the score of 6-3.
The third set è without history, as Zhang squares five consecutive games and closes 6-1 in a very short time. The Italian's prolonged break continued in the fourth set, where in no time the Asian took a 4-1 lead. Sonego, however, manages to shorten and right at his best moment comes the rain to break the rhythm. On the resumption, è the world number 44 to be more incisive and not to concede chances to the blue player.
In the third round, Zhizhen Zhang will face Stefanos Tsitsipas, who defeated German Daniel Altmaier (6-3 6-2 6-7 6-4) in four sets.
