The blue fencing team for Paris 2024
Fencing Azzurri for Paris 2024
From veterans Irene Vecchi and Arianna Errigo, Italy's flag-bearer, in their fourth Olympics, to eleven debutants on the five-ringed platforms, è has been defined by the coaches and made official by the federal president, Paolo Azzi, the Italian fencing expedition for the Paris 2024 Games, which will be composed of 24 athletes.
Italy has qualified its teams in all six specialties, thus acquiring the right to participate with the maximum number of competitors in the individual and team competitions scheduled from July 27 to August 4 on the Grand Palais platforms.
The choices of the technical commissioners Stefano Cerioni for foil, Dario Chiadò for epee and Nicola Zanotti for saber were in the sign of continuity with respect to the Olympic qualifying period, during which the Azzurri achieved excellent results in the World Cup circuit with the peak of the World Championships in Milan 2023 in which Italy won the medal for nations. This is the composition of the team.
