Trieste removes all doubt about Michele Ruzzier’s future

A great protagonist of the A2 playoff final won by Trieste against Cantù, so much so that he earned the MVP award, Michele Ruzzier will continue his basketball adventure in the club of his hometown, in which he had played until 2014 before leaving and returning in 2022. Announcing the decision to move on together è was the red and white club on Monday.

"It is with immense pride and pleasure that we announce the return of Michele Ruzzier to our team for the 2024-25 season,” announced Michael Arcieri, general manager of Pallacanestro Trieste. There's nothing more authentic and exciting than to see one of the favorite sons of Trieste basketball donning the red and white again to help his city pursue basketball excellence".

"Michele, with his elegant and measured style, full of pride and desire to win, has shown a brilliance on the court that has taken us to the top of Italian basketball,” added Arcieri. “He has enriched his game with new facets and provided inspired leadership. We are thrilled that he continues to consider PalaTrieste his 'home' and we look back on his successes" with great admiration.

Born in 1993, Ruzzier è joined Pallacanestro Trieste in 2010, staying until 2014 when he was signed by Reyer Venezia. He then played with the undershirts of Fortitudo Bologna, Vanoli Cremona, Varese and Virtus Bologna, before returning to his native Trieste in the 2022/23 season, experiencing first the bitterness of relegation and then the joy of returning among the "bigs".
