Claudio Marchisio on the counterattack after insult banner
The words of Claudio Marchisio
"We have a big heart but not as warm as Rome’s. The derby è turned on mainly thanks to the Torino fans. They are the’soul of the challenge. While Juventus supporters are scattered a bit’ everywhere". These words by Claudio Marchisio sparked a storm that led Juventus ultras to display a banner outside the restaurant owned by the former Bianconeri midfielder
.
"As a player lacchè of the companyà as an unemployed you are a renegade! In life Marchisio man of m…";, the words signed by the "Drughi", one of the sections of the organized Juventus fans. Marchisio’s response via social did not è take long.
"I mentioned a statistic about cheering in some Italian cities during a podcast and, this morning, I woke up with my cell phone clogged with the picture you see. So I turn to the four of you, with your faces covered, who proudly display this banner. È it is obvious that everyone è is free to have his own thoughts and, within the limits of decency, has the right to share them. What però I just canè not stand è that certain people think that being 'fans' gives them the right to make gestures that go beyond the limits. Whyé do you think you have the right to hang that banner outside a restaurant of which, by the way, I am not the only member? Whyé do you think the guys working in the restaurant should waste their valuable time removing it? Whyé do you think that neighboring businesses should be upset by this gesture, as well as their customers? Whyé in soccer è is everything always allowed? Why is it that there is never a boundary? And I repeat, I am not even bothered by the content of the banner, but the gesture of hanging it outside the restaurant. You know nothing. You have no idea of my and my family’s sacrifices, of the miles traveled to train as a child and boy in the most remote fields in the province. Of the adolescence I never lived, of the friendships I lost because I was never there. You have no idea of the time taken away from my wife and children, which I will never recover. You have no idea of the suffering from the injuries I had from never sparing myself a single day. Of the courage to step aside when it was time to put the team ahead of my personal interests. But you also have no idea how wonderful it has been to live this life together with the many, many fans who have colored my life. Fans, they sì, you don’t! Quoting a banner decidedly more romantic than this one: 'They are all Juventini, but Marchisio è a little more’ '".
