Wimbledon, Jasmine Paolini also starts well in doubles with Sara Errani
Sara Errani and Jasmine Paolini, winners in Rome and finalists at Roland Garros, made it through the first round of Wimbledon women’s doubles.
The 37-year-old from Romagna and the 28-year-old from Tuscany beat Britain’s Harriet Dart and Maia Lumsden with a score of 6-3 3-6 6-3 in exactly two hours of play.
In the second round the Italians will face Czechs Miriam Kolodziejova and Anna Siskova.
Tomorrow, however, in the third round of singles, Jasmine will face Canadian Bianca Andreescu, winner of the 2019 US Open, whom she has already beaten in three sets at Roland Garros also in the third round.
