John Cena announces farewell to wrestling
Actor and American wrestling superstar John Cena has announced his retirement from ring competitions in 2025.
In a video posted on the World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) X account, the 47-year-old athlete said that WrestleMania #41 scheduled to take place in Las Vegas on April 19 and 20 will be his last such event.
Cena landed in the WWE in 2001 and è considered one of the greatest wrestling champions in history, winning the title of world champion 16 times.
In 2006, he also launched his career as an actor by playing the lead in "The Marine" (Deadly Grab) and has since è appeared in films such as "Trainwreck" (A Girl Disaster, 2015), "The Suicide Squad" (The Suicide Squad – Suicide Mission, 2021) and "Fast & Furious 9 – The Fast Saga" (2021).
