Jasmine Paolini è qualified for the quarterfinals of Wimbledon but sportingly she didn’t cheer too much as it was an injury on the most unfortunate of her unfortunate rival Madinson Keys who raised the white flag just a step away from triumph.

The Italian number one, after winning the first set 6-3, è got off to a terrible start in the second, slipping to sull'1-5, only to recover to go on to take a desperate tie-break, won forò by the U.S. who then postponed everything to the third partial.

Madison Keys won two break leads that seemed likely to be decisive but on 5-2 while serving to close out the match she suffered an adductor problem that proved decisive in the negative.

Even the medical time out did not allow the American to recover and on 5-5 15-15 è came the final withdrawal that paved the way for the Italian who thus è secured a place among the top eight of the tournament.
