Jaylen Hands è a new Varese Basketball player

The restyling process at Varese Basketball continues. After the signings of Davide Moretti and Jordan Harris, the white-and-red club announced the signing of American athlete Jaylen Hands. The 1999 class guard è a player with strong offensive skills, capable of finding his way to the basket both in penetration and from distance. On the defensive end è a player capable of putting aggressiveness and a lot of pressure on the ball.

Jaylen Hands was born in San Diego on February 12, 1999. He began playing basketball at a young age showing all his quality since his high school days where he showed off his skills by averaging 30 points per game that earned him the nickname “Baby Westbrook”. Interesting numbers led him to attend UCLA, where he played only two seasons before being selected in the 2019 NBA Draft with the 56th pick by the Los Angeles Clippers, who traded his rights to the Brooklyn Nets. Despite the good numbers put up at the following Summer League, Hands will never make his professional debut, but he does make an excellent G League season played with the Long Island Nets, finishing at an average of 11.5 points, 3 rebounds and 3.3 assists per game.

The following year he moved to Europe; his first stop è Serbia (FMP Belgrade), followed by experiences in Germany (Riesen Ludwigsburg) and Belgium where he defended the colors of Antwerp also making his FIBA Europe Cup debut. The following season he signed in Greece with PAOK (14 points, 3.5 rebounds and 2.6 assists per shoelace), a team with which he also played in the BCL. Last year, after a start again in Greece (Peristeri Athens), he moved to Spain in February where he finished the season wearing the Palencia jersey.

"We are proud to announce Jaylen Hands as the newest addition to our team. Hands è a young and dynamic player who fits perfectly with our style of play. Jaylen defends, builds the game and with his scoring skills he will be able to help us so much to be successful during the season. Welcome Jaylen!" this is the welcome message from Varese Basketball GM Maksim Horowitz.
