Carlos Alcaraz-Daniil Medvedev 6-7 6-3 6-4 6-4

Carlos Alcaraz made no mistake and won the final at Wimbledon for the second time. The world number three, in fact, beat in a comeback in four sets Daniil Medvedev, executioner of Jannik Sinner in the quarterfinals, with a final score of 6-7 6-3 6-4 6-4 after almost three hours of play.

Complicated first set for Alcaraz, who struggles with his first serve and suffers the break already in the fourth game (1-3). Medvedev però did not confirm the lead (3-2) but the Spaniard did not take advantage, losing the serve again. The Russian, called to serve for the set, trembles and so it comes to the tie-break, dominated by Daniil who wins it 7-1.

At the beginning of the second set comes the Spaniard’s reaction, who scratches the break in the fourth game with a great passer (3-1). Carlitos defends it without problems until the final 6-3 with which he evens the set count. In the third partial, the break comes even earlier: Alcaraz takes the serve away from Medvedev in the third game and preserves the lead until the final 6-4 with which he moves ahead by a set.

The fourth set opened with an exchange of breaks. On 3-3 però the Spaniard placed a new and decisive stretch that allowed him to file the match with the 6-4 final, giving himself another final at the Championships. Here he will face the winner of the match between Novak Djokovic and Lorenzo Musetti, the second semifinal on 'Centre Court'.
