The circuit dedicated to Marco Simoncelli will host

two race weekends.

MotoGP organizers have officially announced the cancellation, from the 2024 season calendar, of the Kazakhstan Grand Prix: in fact, FIM, IRTA and Dorna Sports have confirmed that "operational and logistical problems related to previous floods in the region have made it impossible to organize the event in 2024".

To make up for the loss of a race on the calendar, it was è decided to hold a second race weekend at the Misano World Circuit "Marco Simoncelli": after the San Marino Grand Prix, with races on September 7 and 8, there will therefore be the Grand Prix of Emilia-Romagna, on the same track, on the 21st and 22nd of the same month.

"MotoGp è pleased to organize a second event on the emblematic Adriatic circuit – reads the note published Monday on the official channels of the MotoGP -, giving Italian fans the opportunity to see in action the most exciting sport in the world".

"This season’s Italian GP è was the second Grand Prix with the largest crowd attendance in history and ticket sales for the San Marino GP, the first of two MotoGp events in Misano this season, are expected to start soon" conclude the organizers of the rainbow competition.
