Gaetano Castrovilli at Lazio: what’s missing

The official engagement seems closer and closer.

Calciomercato Lazio: Gaetano Castrovilli è closer and closer to becoming a reinforcement of the biancoceleste team. The midfielder, who è freed himself from Fiorentina at the end of the last, troubled season, has undergone medical examinations for what barring any hiccups will be his next team. The official announcement is awaited, meanwhile, the figures of the operation filter through.

Castrovilli is expected to sign for one season, with an option for two more that would be triggered upon reaching certain conditions known only to Lazio, the player and the latter's entourage. The salary, on the other hand, should be around two million euros per season.

It should be remembered that Castrovilli è been mowed down by physical problems in recent seasons. In particular, there have been as many as two knee operations within a short distance of each other. Last season, moreover, the Apulian midfielder missed the transfer to Bournemouth right after medical examinations.

Lazio è are looking for reinforcements of weight and quality for their midfield, after the departures of Luis Alberto and Kamada, and an intact Castrovilli could certainly suit Marco Baroni. The player, who has already visited Formello, ended his last season at Fiorentina well after months of oblivion and it is precisely this last aspect that could prove decisive for the success of the operation.
