Omar Camporese makes a comparison between Carlos Alcaraz and Jannik Sinner
Omar Camporese exposes himself on the rivalry between Jannik Sinner and Carlos Alcaraz
During an interview given to the microphones of "Fanpage", former Italian tennis player Omar Camporese, among other topics, è returned to talk about the rivalry between Jannik Sinner and Carlos Alcaraz. More specifically, the Bologna native tried to make a comparison between the two players.
"When I see Alcaraz play, in difficult moments he does something different, an aspect that Jannik lacks. So he has more variety. At the moment Carlos è a little bit higher than Sinner. On a technical and physical level the Spaniard è ahead, but the South Tyrolean è more solid on a mental level" debuted the former Italian tennis player.
"Jannik also had an uneasy schedule because heè faced some good players. I saw the match with Berrettini and I found him a little bit different, almost scared for the first time. That's because he probably now has to face the fact that he's number one in the world. I saw him white in the face both in the match against Matthew and against Medvedev and wondered what had happened. He was quiet and did not è look like the usual Sinner" added the Bologna native.
"The defeat at Wimbledon doesn't downgrade his record, it's okay for Jannik to lose a match, he won so many others. It's rare but it happens that even strong ones are defeated, although he è used to it too well. Now he has to get in shape and recover for the Olympics. We are approaching the part of the season he likes the most, which is the American concrete and then the indoor one, so it will be; all good for him" concluded Omar Camporese.
